About the Role: Seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Fitter with extensive hands on experience in overhauling and repairing marine machinery. The role involves guiding junior fitters and applying engineering principles to
resolve mechanical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and overhauls of marine machinery such as main engines, pumps, compressors, etc.
- Ensure adherence to marine engineering practices and safety standards.
- Apply engineering principles to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Assess material quality, perform accurate measurements, and ensure work meets required tolerances.
- Interpret engineering manuals and drawings to execute tasks correctly and provide guidance to junior fitters.
- Supervise and mentor junior mechanical fitters, ensuring smooth collaboration and high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ITI certification in a relevant mechanical field.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in marine machinery repairs and overhauls
Skills Required:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to manage and coordinate with diverse stakeholders in challenging environments.
