Role Electrician: Ship Repair (PEWV/SBH07)

About the Role: The Electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in the ship repair and marine industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with motors, control panels, generators, and switchboards, and a strong ability to interpret electrical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in control panels, starters, and switchboards.
- Read and interpret electrical panel/equipment drawings for troubleshooting.
- Work on motors, starters, generators, and switchboards in ship repair or industrial environments.
- Assist in repairing and maintaining VFDs and soft starters (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during electrical repair activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, marine, or industrial plants.
- ITI certification or equivalent educational qualification in Electrical.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of control panels, motors, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience in VFDs and soft starters is an advantage.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
