About the Role: The Electrical Supervisor will lead ship repair and maintenance projects, managing electrical systems and coordinating with defense clients and multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marine electrical systems, repairs, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the repair of motors, starters, generators, switchboards, and control systems of cranes, steering, CPPs, and other onboard equipment.
- Read and interpret schematic, isometric, and SDL drawings to guide repairs.
- Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and teams for seamless execution of repairs onboard ships.
- Prepare inspection reports, work-done certificates, and ensure necessary approvals from ship staff, Class, and QA.
- Maintain strong communication with defence sector stakeholders (Navy/Coast Guard preferred).
- Ensure quality control, adherence to timelines, and safety compliance during projects
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma/B. Tech/BE in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in ship repair or shipbuilding.
- Retired professionals from the Indian Navy (SES/Electrical), Coast Guard, or Merchant Navy (equivalent roles) are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems and defence protocols.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of shipboard electrical systems, including motors,
- control panels, and generators.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills for managing multiple teams.
- Proficiency in report preparation and documentation.
- Problem-solving and leadership abilities.
